Binomial expressionIn a book ,I saw this statement
Is it correct to say "an algebraic expression containing two terms is called a binomial expression or Last edited by debjit625 (2013-01-18 04:09:49) Debjit Roy ___________________________________________________ The essence of mathematics lies in its freedom - Georg Cantor #2 2013-01-18 10:13:52
Re: Binomial expressionI think you're right... The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “A secret's worth depends on the people from whom it must be kept.” ― Carlos Ruiz Zafón #3 2013-01-18 13:25:22
Re: Binomial expressionHi; In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #4 2013-01-18 15:32:46
Re: Binomial expressionSometimes mathematicians play "fast and loose" with definitions. We probably will not find total Writing "pretty" math (two dimensional) is easier to read and grasp than LaTex (one dimensional). LaTex is like painting on many strips of paper and then stacking them to see what picture they make. #5 2013-01-18 15:43:19

Re: Binomial expressionHow about something like: Writing "pretty" math (two dimensional) is easier to read and grasp than LaTex (one dimensional). LaTex is like painting on many strips of paper and then stacking them to see what picture they make. |
