Title of Insane MemberHmmm. That insane member might be a title for 25000 posts, before being an administrator or moderator I think. But I will work with Bobbym with that Magnus Member. I don't know which is better, Star members have too many stars. So, if I congratulate new star members, so, that means I need more stars for my picture? #2 2013-01-03 17:31:04
Re: Title of Insane MemberMagnus is nice. Don't like "insane". "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #3 2013-01-03 17:47:45
Re: Title of Insane MemberI fully agree the title 'Magnus'. Character is who you are when no one is looking. #4 2013-01-03 19:10:29
Re: Title of Insane MemberOkay. Star members have too many stars. So, if I congratulate new star members, so, that means I need more stars for my picture? #5 2013-01-04 01:03:02
Re: Title of Insane MemberI like the title Magnus member too but as I said in the other thread there are problems with it. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #6 2013-01-04 05:00:50
Re: Title of Insane MemberPerhaps Summa as in "Summa cum laude." Or maybe Laudy as in "Laudy how come?" Writing "pretty" math (two dimensional) is easier to read and grasp than LaTex (one dimensional). LaTex is like painting on many strips of paper and then stacking them to see what picture they make. #7 2013-01-08 12:19:45
Re: Title of Insane MemberINSANE= woosh! woosh! bye as I go to Kanto. #8 2013-01-08 12:26:32
Re: Title of Insane MemberMagnus means great in latin, so therefore it can only be awarded to a great member. I think 1 million posts would qualify. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #9 2013-01-08 12:35:02

noooooooooooo! woosh! woosh! bye as I go to Kanto. #10 2013-01-12 10:46:30
Re: Title of Insane Member
Hmm, who said it is a million posts? Maybe 100K or something, 'cause I thought of a Cum Laude orsomething, Star members have too many stars. So, if I congratulate new star members, so, that means I need more stars for my picture? #11 2013-01-12 11:20:04
Re: Title of Insane MemberYes, it is 1 million posts. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #12 2013-01-12 11:22:03
Re: Title of Insane MemberSo, one would need to have 200 times the number of your posts to be a Magnus member. I do not think that is reachable. And, I do not think the forum has such capacity... The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “A secret's worth depends on the people from whom it must be kept.” ― Carlos Ruiz Zafón #13 2013-01-12 11:25:49
Re: Title of Insane MemberThink again, there is one member mighty enough to achieve such a total... In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #14 2013-01-12 11:27:05
Re: Title of Insane MemberYes. You! Re: Title of Insane MemberYes, I do hope to be the first member ever to achieve 7 digit post totals. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #16 2013-01-12 12:29:57
Re: Title of Insane MemberYeah. I only have 3-digits. Star members have too many stars. So, if I congratulate new star members, so, that means I need more stars for my picture? #17 2013-01-12 12:59:16
Re: Title of Insane MemberAnd I have 5. Re: Title of Insane MemberYes, he is a 5 digiter. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #19 2013-01-12 13:52:44

Re: Title of Insane MemberHe is also the leader of the young people. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. Re: Title of Insane MemberI would go wow too! We do not have a president on the forum. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #25 2013-01-13 11:39:39
