Hi;

No T?

Is there an S in there?

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
Probability is the most important concept in modern science, especially as nobody has the slightest notion what it means.
90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics.

Re: Hangman 1

And there I was, thinking the answer could have been Leonhard Euler, born 15 April 1707 in Basel, Switzerland to Marguerite Brucker and Paul Euler. sad

Re: Hangman 1

Hi mathgogocart,

Sorry about the 'spam'. I can't always play with a straight bat, and I like to add some spice here and there to stir up the thought cells. But I'll desist from that...in this thread...for a while...while I remember.

I think you'll find that my disease is pretty general here on MIF, and most of us would see that as adding to the 'fun' in 'Maths Is Fun'.

In this case I thought that I'd solved the puzzle but I wanted to keep my answer secret so that others could play on. I could have used the 'hide' box, I suppose, but I chose to reveal my answer cryptically so that you would know - just by googling for the person's parents' names (ie, if you didn't already know them) - whether or not I actually had solved it.

But my answer was wrong, so I'll play on...

Could there be a 'C'?
