Fun problemA balloon takes off the ground and rises at a rate of 20 ft per second. after 10 seconds a ball is dropped out of the balloon, how many seconds after the ball is dropped will it hit the ground? Re: Fun problemI think it's this: Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #3 2006-01-13 06:37:16
Re: Fun problemCorrect! Nice job mathsy! But you can display the answer so long as you don't show how you worked it. Last edited by mikau (2006-01-13 06:40:28) A logarithm is just a misspelled algorithm. #4 2006-01-13 12:09:33
Re: Fun problem4.215 seconds "In the real world, this would be a problem. But in mathematics, we can just define a place where this problem doesn't exist. So we'll go ahead and do that now..." #5 2006-01-13 12:25:56
