Hi phrontister;

Okay, I will look at it some more.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics.
I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on.

### Re: Is this cool with you?

Hi Bobby,

It's not at all important as the problem is solved, so if you've got something better to do...

Getting the answer is mainly to satisfy my curiosity and to help me get to know M a bit better. Maybe, too, I've got myself into this hole by basically copying my LB code over to M.

Was there a better way to have solved the puzzle? How did you use M to do it?

Hi Bobby,

Yes, that works for the triangle orientation with base 250. Still trying to work out exactly what you've done, and how you arrived at those formula figures. I think I'm beginning to understand some of it (I entered it into Excel to help me get some idea). Among other things, I can see that:

I'll have to return to this later...important paperwork to do now, even more important than your puzzle, would you believe!

Hi Bobby,

Just letting you know I've changed the drawing and some point letters in my previous post, trying to make my explanation clearer.
