Double your internet speed?Hi; In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #2 20120928 06:20:44
Re: Double your internet speed? This looks very ironic. Yup, it's ironic. I couldn't help but just laugh at the guy. I wonder if he is serious or is he just trolling, but I am even more concerned about are the people who actually did this. The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “Taking a new step, uttering a new word, is what people fear most.” ― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Crime and Punishment #3 20120928 06:27:48
Re: Double your internet speed? No one did it. He knows little about mathematics and even less about circuitry. Also, he is not a very convincing liar. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #4 20120928 07:00:34
Re: Double your internet speed?I think it would've been even easier to say something like "s=v*t, so when we double s, the v (i.e. speed) is doubled!" The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “Taking a new step, uttering a new word, is what people fear most.” ― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Crime and Punishment #5 20120928 07:04:43
Re: Double your internet speed? That wouldn't have convinced anybody either. The viewers noticed he switched his connection and that is what resulted in a different speed. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #6 20120928 17:04:14
Re: Double your internet speed?Even better. I stuffed my ethernet cable straight into the soil outside the window. That way the whole Earth acts as the increased area. My connection is now so fast that it downloads pages before I even request them! You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself..........Galileo Galilei #7 20120928 17:31:51
Re: Double your internet speed? That is fine but I would ask that you do not do that. For one thing the electrical leakage will leech into the soil, causing the entire earth to glow like a lightbulb. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #8 20120928 19:27:10
Re: Double your internet speed? It's OK. I saw your post two days ago (ahead of you posting due to my new internet speed) so I've already taken care of it. I've connected my house electricity supply to the Earth to take off the excess, so now I have free electricity as well. If there's any surplus I'll sell it back to the grid. You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself..........Galileo Galilei #9 20120928 19:33:23
Re: Double your internet speed?I thought since ethernet cables are apparently magical. I just strapped mine to my head. Now I have perfect mind to modem communication. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #10 20120928 23:19:18
Re: Double your internet speed? No, Bob! If you increase the power of electricity in the UK, then the power of electricity in Australia will decrease! That could slow down phro's post for decades! The whole Australian part of the net would be cut off from the rest by a gap of a few years! The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “Taking a new step, uttering a new word, is what people fear most.” ― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Crime and Punishment #11 20120929 01:05:20

Re: Double your internet speed?I firmly believe that Phrontister or Phro does not exist. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Re: Double your internet speed? What post #11? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #16 20120929 04:26:48

Oh I get it. Because you believe he doesn't exist, you also cannot see the post. You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself..........Galileo Galilei #17 20120929 05:04:59
Re: Double your internet speed? What post #1? Never mind that for a second. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Re: Double your internet speed? You guys are becoming confusing. Re: Double your internet speed?See what? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #20 20120929 05:57:57
Re: Double your internet speed?Bob posted this: "No, stefy, that's not so. Down here in the "Land of Tomorrow" that can never happen to us, for "tomorrow never comes"." Do you see that text in post #16? It should be inside some sort of a grey box... The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “Taking a new step, uttering a new word, is what people fear most.” ― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Crime and Punishment #21 20120929 06:07:57
Re: Double your internet speed?I see post #16 but there is nothing inside that box. How could there be? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #22 20120929 06:09:04

Re: Double your internet speed?I sure am wondering why your post is blank. I mean I see your signature and the avatar of someone wearing a bearskin but nothing else. If this is your idea of a joke... Re: Double your internet speed? When you are copying non existent material even paste can not work. I see that, yes. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
