Supplementary Angles

Hey guys,

I answered these questions and I was wondering if they are correct

16-C
16. 68, 86

A 45
B 56
C 26
D 19
E 32
F  82

17- F

17. 55, 77
A 18
B 37
C 62
D 57
E 20
F 48

18-A

18. a, (a + 80)
A 100 - 2a
B 112 - 7a
C 182 - 2a
D 254 - 5a
E 311 - 3a
F 302 - 1a

19-D
19. x, (x + 20)
A 189 - 7x
B 167 - 1x
C 114 - 5x
D 160 - 2x
E 124 - 2x
F 142 - 1x

20-A but am really stuck and confused on this one
20. m, 2m
A 172 - 2m
B 187 - 7m
C 124 - 4m
D 143 - 1m
E 164 - 9m
F 180 - 3m

Re: Supplementary Angles

I got all of them correct but 20 neutral so wouldn't be m+2m=180

Re: Supplementary Angles

Hi zee-f;

Now solve for c.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

Re: Supplementary Angles

(m+2m)+c=180
m+2m=3m

3m+c=180
-3m        -3m

c= 180-3m

so the answer would be F

Re: Supplementary Angles

Hi zee-f!

In all these problems you are to find the supplement to the sum of the two given angles I assume.
That would be in all these cases 180 - (sum of the two angles).
Eg. 16)  180-(68+86) = 180-154 = 26.
      20)  180-(m+2m) = 180-3m.

Be blessed! smile

Writing "pretty" math (two dimensional) is easier to read and grasp than LaTex (one dimensional).
LaTex is like painting on many strips of paper and then stacking them to see what picture they make.

Re: Supplementary Angles

Hi zee-f;

so the answer would be F
