Re: Limits!

How about a(0)=2, a(1)=-36, a(2)=35?

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics.
I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on.

Re: Limits!

The fifth one is 0 again.

The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't.

That is not good!

Re: Limits!

Of course! I need to find a way of knowing when a sequence getsthe 0 at a point.

Uhhhh, why not just run the recurrence?

Re: Limits!

Because the zero may be in the googolth place. Maybe it is in the bajilionth place. Maybe it's in the googolplexth place. Or in Graham's numberth place.

Re: Limits!

Hmmm. There is no way to tell where that zero or any other number will be. Maybe just in special cases.
