Re: 7 D in the W

My wife has come up with a brilliant suggestion.  It wasn't that either but it's a good answer, so if the memory continues to play up I'll pretend that was it.

Re: 7 D in the W

hi

I have remembered the original 5 P S and I think it is a reasonable challenge.

Clue:  once again, my avatar provides a hint.

You British chaps and your measurements!

That was an easy one.  I could make it lots more challenging if you want.  smile

btw They also use these measures in the USA.

Re: 7 D in the W

So even my second guess about 5 P S isn't correct? Bummer...

Thank you for the compliment on the idiom. Yes,I found out that the US uses a different than you. Yours is the imperial pint. But it wasn't easy without the beer help.

Do you have any more?

Re: 7 D in the W

OK.  Here are some of those crazy British measurements.  Expect that they are tough!  (I have written them down so I won't forget.)

6 F in a F
4 G in a P
1 A was the A of L that could be P in 1 D with 1 O
5 S is 1 E, 2 E, ... 5 E.
480 G of G makes 1 T O

Happy googling!  smile

Re: 7 D in the W

No,I had to make a separate search for every of them.I still have 4 left. The five values are confusing me greatly.

Three was easy when I noticed the first A.
