Re: Find the general term!!!

Still getting ahead of yourself but that is correct. The recurrence is the meat of this problem and the
thing you go to first. This will all hopefully be clearer when the bafflers thread is not so baffling.

Why am I getting ahead of myself?

A better question is what is over there at the bafflers thread.

Re: Find the general term!!!

Let me see.

Do you mean the discussion about your programming and Base 3 or about the problem you posed?

What does your programming have to do with this problem?

Are you trying to lure me into solving the problem experimentally?

Is there any other way to do any type of mathematics other than cardboard problems that lace textbooks?

Re: Find the general term!!!

Of course there is. But you cannot make me do it experimenrally. I would have to agree with that.

But what do you have in mind? How is the discussion in the other thread related to this?

How in the world do you plan on doing that if I just keep on asking random questions?

Yes, just because your patience is wavering that does not mean that mine is. I do remember saying that you did not like stories because you are on the impatient side.

I ask random questions because they just pop into my mind. If I do not ask them right away,I will forget them.

Then move that to the side and post the other stuff. The stuff that is not random minutiae.
