Re: Series

Hi;

Did not see your post in the other thread until I went back to quote something. It got buried, perhaps under a double post. What are you asking?

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.

I agree with you regarding the satisfaction and importance of actually computing some numbers. I can't tell you how often I see time and money wasted because someone didn't bother to run the numbers.

Re: Series

I remember gAr saying to see what we get for large values of n. Could you type out in M and tell me what you get?

Re: Series

Hi;

There is a lot of meat here. Impossible to explain in a short way. I could post a thread in computer math that would show how to do this one.

Re: Series

Hi anonimnystefy,

7, 16 and 22 are correct. Very good!
I'll check 9 and 21 some other time.

Hi bobbym,

Your answers are also correct, well done!
I agree with your observation on 15. I also saw the same thing happen.

No. I did not write the solutions, so may have rework on it.

Re: Series

Ok. I am interested mostly in the sum involving the zeta function because that is the one I first thought would be very hard,though it turned out to be easy.
