Yeah understanding the concept and reasoning is most important, but now and then the logic behind a new concept seems difficult to grasp at first. So you just observe the steps to solve the problem, and follow them. After some practice it suddenly dawns on you, what it is your doing and why. I don't know why, but it happens all the time.
