Ecologists marked 60 fish in a little lake. A few days later a man caught 80 fish, of which five were marked. Estimate the number of fish in the lake.

Hi;
You need to estimate the MLE. Use this formula to do so:
n = 960 so that is the population of the fish in the lake using the most likely probability or MLE( maximum likelihood estimator)
