Why?

Re: Series

The interior sum is in terms of k and so is its sum. Shouldn't the integration be in terms of k? So we are looking at dk maybe?

Re: Series

Well, when we made the substitution,we had a sum in terms of x.

But the sum is counting in k so...

Re: Series

But x is a function of k,so there is still no problem with it. It is like saying that in a sum we have a zeta function of the counting variable we should change the counting variable to zeta.

Re: Series

Didn'tI already submit it?

And why would I leave out everything after step 5?

Re: Series

Hi;

If it were to my professor or some other bloated topologist I would include everything and even throw in a couple of conjectures by Tarski.

But because this is to gAr who understands a CAS he would see that step 5 is easy with a CAS and even can be done by hand.

Re: Series

Remind me again which is the step 5.

And what's the point of leaving it out?

Re: Series

Hi bobbym

Do you know how to do #4. I need a hint. I tried the differentiate and integrate method, but it doesn't give any results so far.
