Re: PSLQ and LLL?

Hi bobbym

All of the commands on the page you gave me work for me.

The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't.

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

What is your version of maxima?

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
Probability is the most important concept in modern science, especially as nobody has the slightest notion what it means.
90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics.

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

hi bobbym

It's version 5.26.

Btw,if it means anything to you,I have installed,all together,Euler Math Toolbox.

Well,maybe it is,maybe it isn't.I installed the one that came with the Maxima 5.26.0 package.

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

Why?I don't know anything about it!!!

Do you think it will be easier to make the algorithm work there?

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

Isn't it vice versa? I got the Toolbox when I downloaded Maxima.

Or do you mean it is using the same code compiler,syntax,has the same semantics,...as Maxima 5.26.0?

Yes, I did. I did not like it very much. I am going to try straight maxima 5.26

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

You can use the command diagmatrix(n,1) to generate the identity matrix.

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

Hi bobbym

Have you at least figured out how to create an identity matrix?

Actually,I figured out what was wrong.I was increasing i at the same time as j.I will post my new code as soon as I fix it.

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

hi bobbym

Code:

IdenMatrix(n):=
block( [i, j, a, m],
i: 1,
while i <= n do
  (
   j: 1,
   while j <= n do
     (
      if i = j then
        a[i, j]: 1
      else
        a[i, j]: 0,
      j: j+1
     ),
   i: i+1
  ),
m: genmatrix(a, n, n)
);
