Re: PSLQ and LLL?

First off how do you declare a function in maxima?

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

I don't even know where to type up my code let alone declare a function. I will try searching it up. I will let you know as soon as I do.

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

I have maxima inside of Geogebra, I will check for a way.

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

Page seems dead.

Here is how you declare a simple function in maxima:

f(n):=n!

f(5) returns 120

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

I thought you didn't know. Anyway,thanks for trying to make it clear.

Are you sure that n! is how Maxima uses factorial?

Yes, it is working on this maxima.

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

I think I understand a little about Maxima programming,but I am still not sure.

What is the first command of your function?

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

I do not know yet, what that command does. I am going to eat so I will see you tomorrow.

Which command?

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

pslq[l_,dig_]:=Module[{a},
     a=IdentityMatrix[Length[l]];
     a=Append[a,10^dig*N[l,dig]];
     a=Transpose[a];
     a=Rationalize[a,10^-dig];
     a=LatticeReduce[a];
     Take[a,All,{1,Length[l]}]
     ];

Oh, that one is easy. You need to find a maxima command that makes an identity matrix for a size n.

I am not sure yet, I will have to check to see what it does exactly. It was many years ago that I wrote that function.
