Irrational DenominatorI was recently emailed by a teacher that I had an Irrational Denominator on one of my pages. I amended it so that students would not get into trouble. Just a throwback from the past? What do you guys think? "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." Leon M. Lederman #2 20120229 14:40:34
Re: Irrational DenominatorHi; In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #3 20120302 06:40:38
Re: Irrational DenominatorYes, the latter is more elegant. #4 20120302 07:10:59
