SOPA Defeated?Hi; In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #2 2012-01-25 10:41:11
Re: SOPA Defeated?I didn't read a complete vote count anywhere. But I see some supporters have pulled out. Imagine for a moment that even an earthworm may possess a love of self and a love of others. #3 2012-01-25 10:43:22

Re: SOPA Defeated?I searched opencongress.org or something like that for 10 minutes and couldn't find any actual vote on PIPA 968. Imagine for a moment that even an earthworm may possess a love of self and a love of others. #5 2012-01-25 11:33:42
Re: SOPA Defeated?According to that page SOPA went down around the 18th, strange. Anyway PIPA comes up now and either one is just the same. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. |
