Re: See if you can solve thisI don't think that can be done, unless you allow multiple letters to take the same value. But then that would make it too easy. Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #7 2007-03-25 16:06:53

Re: See if you can solve thisHi landof+; In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #9 2011-12-11 10:36:25

Re: See if you can solve thisWith this one LB took 10x longer than 7. That's probably not too bad, given that I had to include the permutation function in the program as it's not inbuilt...unlike 7.

Re: See if you can solve thisYou're lucky to have survived that brush with the gentler gender!!
Are you/have you been a true spelunker? Last edited by phrontister (2011-12-11 23:49:50) "The good news about computers is that they do what you tell them to do. The bad news is that they do what you tell them to do." - Ted Nelson #16 2011-12-12 06:54:22
Re: See if you can solve thisHi phrontister;
Actually, no.
Gentler? Hah! Many times have they ripped my still beating heart out of my chest and spat on it. In mathematics, you don't understand things.
