Re: maths productMultiply them all together, similar to how you'd find the product of two. Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #11 2008-08-07 14:05:05
Re: maths productYou can multiply the 3 numbers together in any order you want. Imagine for a moment that even an earthworm may possess a love of self and a love of others. #12 2008-08-19 22:05:14

Re: maths productObviously, the product of the ages (or the number next door) must be a perfect square of a prime, let say n^2, so that the only possible combination of factors would be 1,n,n or 1,1,n^2. That's why the surveyor can't tell after the first answer but can after the second. So, n^2 can be 4,9,25 etc and the ages 1,1,4 , 1,1,9 , 1,1,25 etc. #17 2009-10-20 16:43:27

Re: maths productHi Marcus Winter; In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Probability is the most important concept in modern science, especially as nobody has the slightest notion what it means. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. #21 2009-11-13 06:14:18
Re: maths productThis has sorta helped me out cuz i gotta Times fractions and it drags.. #22 2011-05-26 21:00:24

Re: maths product
it actually doesn't equall fifteen it equals 3026144400. becuase you have to find out what 1*2 is and the product of that *3 and the product of that #4 and the product of that *5 and keep going until you get to the product of 15. #24 2011-07-17 08:53:18
