Re: Chat

Hi Shivamcoder3013;

A while ago I suggested the same thing.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.

I agree with you regarding the satisfaction and importance of actually computing some numbers. I can't tell you how often I see time and money wasted because someone didn't bother to run the numbers.

Re: Chat

Well, cant we have an IRC chat with many rule-abiding ops to make sure there is no flaming/spamming?

Re: Chat

Hi;

I do not think there is any way to control those things on forums let alone on chat groups. Anyway, only MIF could implement it here.

Re: Chat

Well, I would prefer if he made a separate link to the IRC. And well, on the forum I haven't seem that many people who flame/spam.

Re: Chat

That is because they are being removed.

Talking about the spammers. GiB is a different problem entirely.

Re: Chat

Why not re-program the chat so you cannot type the same phrase more than 2 times in 3 minutes?

Re: Chat

That could work but you are talking to the wrong guy.
MIF is the only one that can add new features to the forum.

Re: Chat

Close to impossible for me to contact MiS. I am not a real member, and the only time I met him on a live thread was in my into.

Re: Chat

We simply can't control chat that well. People could get nasty, or there may be predators.

'Real Members' can IM each other, though.

Re: Chat

Total number of registered users: 146323

Surely at least 50 of them would be able to monitor the chats? Private chat, maybe not. But you could disable that, so everything is public.
