The Birds?
Most of us have seen the chilling movie, "The Birds." In that movie hideous birds and Rod Taylor are determined to annoy Tippie Hedren. She handles Mr. Taylor fairly well but the evil birds prove to be of sterner nature.
Personally, I have been waiting for revenge.

I have seen some about an inch or so across. Amazing that it would be able to trap a bird in that web. It must be very strong.

Hi,
I happen to see sometimes the spiders which are about 3 or 4 inches long. But not poisonous or bird eating.
Also, I have seen some beautiful and colorful spiders, with some nice patterns on them.
I doubt whether the zoologists have seen them all and given a scientific name!

We get brown recluse and black widows mostly. They are venomous but not too large. Desert climate here does support that much life as the tropics do.

I have read that black widows are highly venomous.
Luckily, the only poisonous beings here are about 4 species of snakes.

We have rattlesnakes and sidewinders, these are both venomous. Luckily I have never run into one of those. We have scorpions and some types of lizards that are also venomous.
