Re: Series

Hi bobbym,

Okay.
Yes, they are all awesome!

Re: Series

Hi gAr;

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
Probability is the most important concept in modern science, especially as nobody has the slightest notion what it means.
90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics.

Re: Series

I used only one variable.
From the partial fractions, I wrote the two series and added them.

How did you get that to work? Can I see your solution?

Hi bobbym,

Like the one I solved here:http://www.mathisfunforum.com/viewtopic.php?id=12022

Re: Series

Oh yes, I remember your solution now. Do you know that was the first tough problem I worked on when I first joined. I was very tentative back then and when I solved that problem without Jane or mathsyperson finding an obvious error I began to gain confidence in the way I did things.

Re: Series

Sometimes! The ones that you solve in a day or two are fun. But there are those that last for years. Nothing you try works, I have a number of those.

Yes, that's true.

I forgot to add - tough questions which we can solve are fun!

Re: Series

True!

Nothing is better than a problem that falls apart to a method only you know!

I am going to take a little break, see you then.

Hi bobbym,

Okay, take your time.
I'll post the questions as I remember or encounter it, otherwise I may forget later!

Re: Series

Hi bobbym,

Okay.
Are you really working on 6?
I feel 6 and 8 are the easier ones, relatively.
