Hi gAr;

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

Re: Series

Hi gAr;

I forgot that?! But it is not helping, now I am getting pi^3 / 6 for the RHS ( I used a definite integration from 0 to pi )

Re: Series

Hi bobbym,

Now it's okay.
Remember that there is a pi on the LHS.

Re: Series

Hi,

Here's a solution

Hi bobbym,

Trigonometric identities will be useful for the other two.
Of course, other methods may be there, I don't know yet!

"Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense"  - Buddha?

"Data! Data! Data!" he cried impatiently. "I can't make bricks without clay."

Hi,

Which step?

Oh, we are not evaluating there. We substitute for z from the previous step.

I see that term by term integration works wonders in some of the cases!

Re: Series

Hi anonimnystefy,

You may try.
But if you try to sum the fractions separately, they both diverge.
