Word puzzle

Can you think of a pair of words which are both anagrams and homophones?
(Examples of Homophones :- Ice and eyes, Seam and seem, Read and Reed  etc.
Examples of Anagrams:- Talent and Latent, Mate and Meat, Slate and Stale etc.)
For an example

Re: Word puzzle

I don't believe ice and eyes is a homophone. Maybe it's just the way I say it.

Re: Word puzzle

jU, good try, but neon and none aren't homophones, and where and we're aren't anagrams.

I agree. Ice and eyes aren't true homophones. Ice has a short vowel sound and eyes has a long one.

Re: Word puzzle

Ice also has a sharp c (sss) and eyes has a soft s (zzz).

justlooking's is very close if you take 'deserts' to means 'leaves', as opposed to 'multiple dry places'.

Well, you are correct jU, but ganesh is looking for words which are both anagrams and homophones. We have some examples in the previous posts.
