Wrong answer given in answers paper or am I missing something simple??

HI, just need a second "yes" to make me double sure....

The first simple question in a test exam paper as set out exactly as below.

1.  Below is a list of numbers:

8  9  21  25  27  32  35

From the list write down those numbers which are:

a. even
b. multiples of 5
c. cube numbers
d. factors of 54

For c.   cube numbers  I answered 8 and 27 

But the answer paper just had 27.....?   

Am I missing something?  Thanks for your patience:)

No. you are not missing anything. Do not be bullied by everything books say. In mathematics you can prove when you are right.

Sure looks like a cube, does it not?

There is a geometric definition but 8 qualifies there too.

Thanks Bobbym,  We all make mistakes...........I'm an expert at them LOL...........but I think that when you buy a book with the answers these should be really very carefully proof read and double checked as it can be a bit confusing when a mistake slips in.  It now leaves me a little less confident as I come up against much more difficult questions and check the answers paper.  Already 17 pages into the book I've seen 3 wrong answers.  Ah well I'm still smiling and now to more prime factors over a cuppa tea;)

I have a rather famous combinatorics book where he says 4 is a prime. Also another one that is littered with computational errors. Many Schaums books have errors in them.

That does not detract from the books. Errors creep in calculations and in typesetting the books.
