Re: Last Assessment Please Help Me!!

Yes, for the purposes of this calculation, that is okay.

Now combine up the numerator and the denominator.

That one would require L' Hopitals rule. Have you learned it yet?

Then can you differentiate the numerator?

Re: Last Assessment Please Help Me!!

That is the correct answer. The differentiation will remove the -1 on top and bottom this will make further simplification possible.

That can range from easy to difficult to impossible. What is the sequence?

Re: Last Assessment Please Help Me!!

let's try this: x[0]=sqrt(5) and x[n+1]=sqrt(5+x[n])

Re: Last Assessment Please Help Me!!

Hi;

Because that is a non linear difference equation is it likey that there is no closed form.

It is easy to calculate what that sequence is converging to.

Like their continuous counterparts , most recurrences do not have closed forms

Re: Last Assessment Please Help Me!!

Hi mantastrike;

Bobbym can you delete this thread please?

Please do not edit a thread starter like that anymore. If you wipe out the initial questions all the remaining math done by others is meaningless.

If I delete this thread I would be deleting a lot of other peoples posts.

What is wrong, maybe there is some other way to fix it.

I have closed the topic.
