Proof of n^2+2 is not divisible by 5Now i realize i could use the division algorithm and get to the correct answer, but i was looking for a different way. However this is my first proofing class was wondering if this is valid or not. #2 20110211 16:21:21
Re: Proof of n^2+2 is not divisible by 5Hi Proofing; Statements 1 5 can all be proved easily with algebra and since they exhaust all the cases we are done. Welcome to the forum. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof.
