Need some help solving geometric and arithmetic sequences

Hi, I need some examples on how to solve these types of sequences as I completely drag at them and can't do them to save my life. Thanks!
ps: are there any formulae you can use with these types of sequences to solve them?

Re: Need some help solving geometric and arithmetic sequences

Hi Mariner;

What is the problem specifically. Are you trying to guess the next term. Do you want the general term? The sum of them?

Start with the arithmetic sequences first.

Please take a look at these.

Now you are ready to ask a good question!

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.
