about SET..

i'm trying to answer this question,

1)How many subsets does the empty set have? What can you say about a set A if it has only one subset?

2) Explain what is meant by the statement. "The empty set is the identity with respect to the operation of set union".

thanks!

Re: about SET..

Is it true that the subset of any set is 2^n, where n is the number of elements?
