War of the WorldsI saw it today. School is practice for the future. Practice makes perfect. But - nobody's perfect, so why practice? #2 2005-07-11 05:04:55

Re: War of the WorldsI saw the movie a few days ago I thought it was great, the special effects were awesome and the acting was great. only thing I didn't like was the aliens, they looked to much like the aliens off of aliens, they should of stuck to the book for the aliens which depicted them better in my opinion. #8 2005-07-15 17:03:28
Re: War of the WorldsI haven't read the book before, but my mam said that the people (Ray, Robbie and Rachel) did not exist in the book. School is practice for the future. Practice makes perfect. But - nobody's perfect, so why practice? #9 2005-07-15 17:36:21
Re: War of the WorldsI read the book, it was good. And it is set in Britain. Is the movie? "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #10 2005-07-16 02:48:16
Re: War of the WorldsNo the characters you mentioned arent in the book they are just in the movie. The movie takes place in New York, and Boston area. But even though it takes place in a different place the movie is very similar to the places that were in the book, as in the places they go, what happens there, the river, ect. The biggest difference from the book and the movie was how it started which was a dissapointment but the special effects made up for it. I would explain but I don't want to spoil it for anyone that hasnt seen it yet. #11 2005-10-10 18:57:22
Re: War of the WorldsI saw it with my boyfriend a month or so ago! Unfortunately we broke up the weekend before last or something like that! He cheated on me at a summer camp he went to over summer! As for the film it was very good but it was hardly a WAR of the worlds, i mean, it was more tom cruise running away for and hour and a half, he might have shot at something or chopped a tentacle off but that was it! Loved the aliens though, love sci-fi's me! #12 2005-10-11 23:57:02
