Re: logic puzle

Combinatorics tell us that the number of teams is

(combining six items in groups of two)

This can be proven by listing all possible games
Team#  vs Team#

1 2
1 3
1 4
1 5
1 6

2 1 X  //game already played (1 2) same as (2 1)
2 3
2 4
2 5
2 6

3 1 X
3 2 X
3 4
3 5
3 6

4 1 X
4 2 X
4 3 X
4 5
4 6

5 1 X
5 2 X
5 3 X
5 4 X
5 6

1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 15 //done!!

Re: logic puzle

Is there any site that has explicit notes on Combinations and Permutations? I'll like  to be versed with that Topic.

Re: logic puzle

And at least you brought back a year old thread to get in the way of things.

And if you can't take criticism, you can't take life. Life is full of it.
