Planet Killer?Hi;
Guess he meant water too!
While we are arguing over in the other thread about who started life here. We may soon know who ended it. BP, a fitting end? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #2 2010-06-17 02:41:29
Re: Planet Killer?Well that's a bit sad news, but since I am made of godium I doubt that I will die from it. I see clearly now, the universe have the black dots, Thus I am on my way of inventing this remedy... #3 2010-06-17 02:52:17
Re: Planet Killer? Thanks, LQ. I needed that. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #4 2010-06-17 02:58:09
Re: Planet Killer? So when will the world die from it, exactly? I see clearly now, the universe have the black dots, Thus I am on my way of inventing this remedy... #5 2010-06-17 09:24:56
Re: Planet Killer?I don't lnow LQ, they didn't say. They said it would take 3 years to reach Europe. So figure they are lying, so cut that in half. I get a year and a half, how does that sound? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #6 2010-06-17 11:01:41
Re: Planet Killer?Hm. So if it takes me 1,3927 * 10^24 years to eat up earth and render it feeling and sencing for real, I'll be eating oil quite often. Life is really faschinating. I see clearly now, the universe have the black dots, Thus I am on my way of inventing this remedy... #7 2010-06-17 17:22:07
Re: Planet Killer? So you eat 4.28965319 kgms of earth per year. That isn't very much, better start munching. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #8 2010-06-17 17:56:56
Re: Planet Killer?Yeah, probably no one is bothered by it. I see clearly now, the universe have the black dots, Thus I am on my way of inventing this remedy... #9 2010-06-17 18:13:49
Re: Planet Killer? That's the right way, a little earth never hurt anybody. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #10 2010-06-17 19:27:59
Re: Planet Killer?Sooner or later I'll become so huge that I fall down the center of earth though. Unless they shoot me out in a space shuttle. I see clearly now, the universe have the black dots, Thus I am on my way of inventing this remedy... #11 2010-06-17 19:46:48
Re: Planet Killer?BP brought in the 3 of the finest scientists in the world. ( Groucho couldn't make it ) . There burning it now. They are only burning half ( half? ) of it per day so... Other scientists say they are detecting a huge pocket of natural gas forming under the water. If it goes it will cause a tremendous explosion. Some people feel BP doesn't have any idea on how stop the leak. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #12 2010-06-17 20:30:03
Re: Planet Killer? How does one usually do it? I see clearly now, the universe have the black dots, Thus I am on my way of inventing this remedy... #13 2010-06-17 20:41:03
Re: Planet Killer?I don't know. The pressure of the oil was so great, much more than they anticipated that it blew the seals and that is how the leak started. They are using some kind of device to burn it but it can't handle the load. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #14 2010-06-17 23:22:08
Re: Planet Killer?Well, bobbym. We are lucky we aren't involved at least. I'd consider that much worse then to die of oil.. Or? I see clearly now, the universe have the black dots, Thus I am on my way of inventing this remedy... #15 2010-06-18 03:16:40
Re: Planet Killer?True enough. I had nothing to do with that. Personally when I see a huge deposit of oil just sitting there. You don't know how it got there and you state that it replenishes itself by some unknown process. Unknown process???!!!!! In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #16 2010-06-18 04:51:25
Re: Planet Killer?I figured you were kidding when you said it replenished.. It replenish? You mean there's a wyrmhole in the bank that alter the structure of the soil and make it into oil? I see clearly now, the universe have the black dots, Thus I am on my way of inventing this remedy... #17 2010-06-18 14:29:53
Re: Planet Killer? They were careful in the one single report, which may be an error, to say natural. I'm sure it soon will be declared a mistake or the whole report will mysteriously disappear. Back to the report, they said an unknown but natural process. Well, if it is unknown how are they sure it is natural? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #18 2010-06-18 18:58:20
Re: Planet Killer? The simplest scenario would've been that there's some sorta oil catalysator down there though. In which case it probably won't we working since the seabottom collapsed. In either case an replenishing oil well would probably require heat. Right? I see clearly now, the universe have the black dots, Thus I am on my way of inventing this remedy... #19 2010-06-18 21:02:40
Re: Planet Killer?Sure, an energy source of some type. Probably the energy source is a big lizard with a hand pump. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #20 2010-06-19 03:16:48
Re: Planet Killer?Well, I guess self regenerating oil would've blown all tanks? So it's a plus that it didn't, right I see clearly now, the universe have the black dots, Thus I am on my way of inventing this remedy... #21 2010-06-19 07:15:03
Re: Planet Killer?Forget about self regenerating oil, we need a self regenerating planet. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #22 2010-06-20 03:00:49

Re: Planet Killer?Yes, we have a disposable world. We need one with nine lives. In mathematics, you don't understand things. Re: Planet Killer?Actually, I read in the news a while ago that there is a kind of bacterium that puts out a substance that can be used for fuel. Maybe that's the source of the replenishing oil. (Although it could have not been oil. I just can't remember.) Last edited by simron (2010-06-23 02:02:54) Linux FTW #25 2010-06-22 18:07:22
Re: Planet Killer? This thread reminds me of The Happening. Where the trees fought back against man kind and exhaled a gas that made everyone suicidal. I'm not sure if that would really be possible though. But all I've heard about helping the environment is that everyone reckons the best fuel source would be hydrogen. But I'm not so sure...
