And the beasts of the field...

And the beasts of the field shall rise up against them...

What in name of everything holy is this! Have you ever seen Starship Troopers?

http://images.whatsthatbug.com/images/c … ndoval.jpg

Some combat vets are telling me the critters are 2 feet long. Of course the authorities are telling everybody their cool. They are our friends. They don't eat humans. Yea, sure.

Re: And the beasts of the field...

Hi;

Check this out:

all were aggressive like nothing I have ever seen. They would come in, mostly on night shift, walking right up the middle of the hanger. We couldn't take a broom, or anything else, and try to push them out as they would turn aggressive and attack whatever we would use

Oh, this is why you put the camel spider in the vending machine. I was wondering where you got it from.

Re: And the beasts of the field...

OMG my aunt was is in the marines and she said one of those got in one night .

She said they were asleep and there was a huge THUNK!

Apparently  one of the other people sleeping in the little metal cubicle chamber thingy, had felt something sticky on there face and had swatted it off really hard

The THUNK was the sound of its body as it hit the wall!

I also read this:

Most people don't know that the camel spider can also be found in the southwest U.S. and Mexico. While the recent buzz is all about the Middle Eastern camel spider, its North American cousin has no shortage of tall tales. In Mexico, they're known as matevenados, which means "deer killers."

Remind me never to go to Mexico >_<

Oh and bobbym I heard they only get about 8 inches...which is still not small as it is still enough to make me pee my pant if i saw on anywhere near me...

I found a web site and poeple have wrote about there encounters one of my fave was this:

June 11th, 2008 This is my experience w/ these darn monsters they call spiders. I was stationed at Bagram Airbase w/ an MP company in Afganistan in 2003-2004, while walking back from the MWR minding my own bussiness daydreaming when I would be going home, I encountered a camel spider, had to have been at least 5 inches big, not including the legs, was walking beside me this scared the hell out of me and I broke into a trot. Well, there and behold, this thing still next to me which scared me even more, but was even more scarier was when it tried to jump onto my leg. I screamed like a little girl ( I AM A 5'10, 180 LBS. MAN) and took off running as fast I could trying to get away from this darn thing, it kept jumping on my leg and I would kick it off, it would jump back on my leg and again I would kick it off this went on for a few moments but it felt like forever ( I thought I was going to have a heart attack) I wanted to shoot it but thought that if I missed it I would really math this thing off so I didn't. I kept running. I eventually got away from it and will never forget that nightmare, it'll haunt me forever. That encounter w/ the spider was worser then when I had a scorpian crawl up onto my foot while wearing shower shoes ( flip flops). Enjoy SGT. S.

Re: And the beasts of the field...

Hi misheeru;

I know heard the same thing over here. The experts are saying that they are only capable of 10 mph as if that isn't fast enough. A few guys we were talking to who served over there said they felt it was more like 30 mph and can it jump. They actually use machine guns on them.

Haven't seen one of those thing over here yet, and I am not anxious to either.

Really? No, I didn't know that actually. Unless they have some secret formula to make them super powerful, I'm not convinced.

Re: And the beasts of the field...

Look at the picture people. That thing is a lot bigger than six inches. Stop quoting what paid experts say, they are trying to deceive you. Trust your own eyes, how big does it look to you?

Re: And the beasts of the field...

What army? How about when they pay some mule to carry a few baby spiders to Australia. They like the heat, grow and prosper. Now they are in your house, crawling on your face. Chasing you at 30 mph. You had better call the ghost busters.

Re: And the beasts of the field...

Cool, they can eat the rabbits and camels and cane toads and the immigrants that are over crowding our country. Then we can blow them up with dynamite, and move to New Zealand while they die out.  I didn't know the ghost busters dealt with giant bugs.

Re: And the beasts of the field...

Eating immigrants?!? I was thinking of migrating to your country. You know, all that land of tomorrow jazz. But if I wanted to have strange things try to eat me, I would head back to New York.

Oh, you, right. But I can tell you now, there is no jazz here. Except for school kids and city buskers. But you can still come if you want, just maybe don't bring the camel spiders.

1. Dude, I'm not a man, but that's okay I have that habit as well.
b. I don't know what my boots are, I just picked them up at an army place while I was looking for some Doc Martin's.
And: See, nothing the military can't handle, their the toughest people on the planet! Apart from most wrestlers and jailbirds.

Re: And the beasts of the field...

Yeah i call everyone 'man',sorry 'bout that. The WWE has become something...um...else. Back in the day the undertaker was cool then he cut his hair and went for the biker look around 2003 then recently took back his old look (minus the purple gloves and boots), but I think hes just to old to strike the same kind of fear into the hearts of other wrestlers like he used to...anyhoo, the beasts of the field...(pause for dramatitic effect)...should stay in the feild, or at least the scary ones!

Re: And the beasts of the field...

Yeah, bobby, beasts of the field should stay in the field don't bring them here if they're not our problem. Don't make them our problem, we already have enough problems with rabbits and cane toads. And camels, we don't need camel spiders.

But consider this.......
The Army trains these things to a tee. Then they send them out to demoralize the enemy.
probly wouldnt work tho. oh well...

You are not getting it. They are no one's problem, they are just misunderstood. They are our friends. The experts have guaranteed us of that. Let's not pay any attention to actual eyewitnesses. Let's go with guys who have never even been there. I feel safer already.

Re: And the beasts of the field...

I don't. Maybe we should go there and see the camel spiders for ourselves, and ask them how they are? If they're not a problem to anyone then why did you bring this up? Are they protesting?
