probablity question

plz help me to solve this question. i will be obeliged to you.(thank u).


let x(1),x(2),....x(n) are mutual independent random variable . let U be a function of x(1),x(2).....x(k) and V be a function of x(k+1),x(k+2)....x(n).
  prove that:-
                U and V are independent.
