Re: hiHi, dolphin! School is practice for the future. Practice makes perfect. But - nobody's perfect, so why practice? #3 2005-08-02 01:12:35
Re: hiThe only beings more intelligent than them are mice. Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #4 2005-08-02 01:23:51
Re: hiI think orangutans (or whatever!) are also very intelligent. School is practice for the future. Practice makes perfect. But - nobody's perfect, so why practice? #5 2005-08-02 08:02:09
Re: hiDon't underestimate dogs! Their intelligence is tested in human environments. Try to outwit one in their territory. "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #6 2005-08-02 14:12:03
Re: hiI had read somewhere that animals (the most intelligent ones) cannot count beyond 7 or 8! They are good at counting up to 4, thereafter, there is a progressive decline in their ability to count, and beyond 8, they are unable to count! Character is who you are when no one is looking. #7 2005-08-02 18:26:56
Re: hiI saw somewhere that people put a touch-screen computer that flashed up 4 random numbers between 1 and 100 with a chimp. The chimp had to touch them in numerical order to get some food. After a week, he was able to do it much faster than the scientist! Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #8 2005-08-02 19:13:16
Re: hiGee, I hope that last bit is true! The chimp thought outside the square, and the experimenter becomes part of the experiment. "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #9 2005-08-04 17:08:18
Re: hiElephants are pretty clever too...some elephants have been trained to 'paint' by holding a paint brush in their trunk. #11 2005-08-04 21:44:13
Re: hiIt actually does ! "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #12 2005-08-05 17:52:12
Re: hiI think the elephant painting looks like a bird (just showing its head with beak pointing to the right)...can anyone else see it? #13 2005-08-05 17:55:41
Re: hiNo. It looks like an axe to me (only a bit of it) and the rest is blood. Friends are angels who lift our feet when our own wings have trouble remembering how to fly #14 2005-08-05 18:00:27
Re: hiLOL! I can kind of see what you mean, but I reckon it's a bird. #15 2005-08-05 18:04:58
Re: hiYeah I can kind of see an abstract bird, with my axe as it's beak. Friends are angels who lift our feet when our own wings have trouble remembering how to fly #16 2005-08-05 18:06:46
Re: hiOh...I think I was looking at a different axe. But your axe is better. #17 2005-08-05 18:08:06
Re: hiYeah. Me got cool axe. At the moment I'm trying to find a file on the company computer, but I can't find it !!! Friends are angels who lift our feet when our own wings have trouble remembering how to fly #18 2005-08-05 18:11:00
Re: hiI found it. Yippe!!! Friends are angels who lift our feet when our own wings have trouble remembering how to fly #19 2005-08-05 18:17:49
Re: hiCongrats on finding the file... #20 2005-08-05 18:20:58
Re: hi9:20. I got to work at about 7:30. It was chucking it down so I got a bit wet. Friends are angels who lift our feet when our own wings have trouble remembering how to fly #21 2005-08-05 18:22:16
Re: hiAll this talk of what the picture is reminded me of a joke conversation between a computer and a psychiatrist. I know the conversation's moved on a bit, but it took me a while to find. Anyway... Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #22 2005-08-05 18:23:03
Re: hiHaha! Good luck...don't burn the building down, will you? #23 2005-08-05 18:27:59
