Solving Equations

More problems hmm I don't know what steps I must take to find X or Y.

1.   1/y + 1 = 3/y - 1/2y

2. 3/(x-2) = 5/9x

I am a mathemagician. You ask why? I point up

Re: Solving Equations

Hi Kurtz;

1.   1/y + 1 = 3/y - 1/2y

multiply both sides by y

2. 3/(x-2) = 5/9x

Multiply both sides by (x-2)

Multiply both sides by 9x

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.
