Re: "Fix the Equation"

Hi MathsisFun;

  Good graphics and design. Should help kids learn the 4 arithmetic operations.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

Re: "Fix the Equation"

75 on Mixed (Hard). smile

I really like this. It's like Reaction Math's meaner older brother.

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

Thanks! (Good score, mathsy ... needs improvement bobby big_smile )

Any special requests for challenges with this interface?

Re: "Fix the Equation"

Hi MathsisFun;

You're right. Mathsy whipped me good. Took it again, got 51, which represents a 2% improvement! Does the game keep a list of the high scorers?

Re: "Fix the Equation"

Two percent? TWO percent? Well, we should all be thankful for small blessing, I suppose. smile

I will be putting the game on Mathopolis, which will save scores for those logged in.

Will let you know!

Re: "Fix the Equation"

I just got 87. cool

I'm having lots of fun with this. I like how the difficulty is very variable - the game might be giving you a series of 2+5, 3x7, 11-4, etc. and then suddenly throw something like "126 / ? = 14" at you.

Re: "Fix the Equation"

Hi MathsisFun;

fairer : my definition: - altering the circumstances so that someone who is getting beat is suddenly a large favorite.

I got 47. Can we alter the game so as to be fairer.

Bobby: A bit of fairness code like this?

if (user=="bobbym") {
    score *= 2;
}

Re: "Fix the Equation"

It might be worth checking whether this is some odd bug.

For me, the timer looks like it's 2 minutes long, so I do a little quicker than 1 answer/second.
Am I getting longer than everyone else?

Re: "Fix the Equation"

Hi MathsIsFun

Because of the lenght of "justlookingforthemoment" my score of 60 is not lining up correctly, it is shifted down 1.

Fun game!!

  I have noticed the same failure to align the scores.

That is now fixed. You may need to use refresh to see the new version.
