I am trying to solve the question given by our math
teacher to Bid the lowest and unique value which has
to be a numeric value with at most 2 decimal digits
only.
Eg: 1.09, 0.12, 5.40, and 0.01 etc etc.
The bid range will be 0 to 1000.
Those above eg, and lowest would be used by other
freinds too, So I fell that there would be duplication
of lowest and unique number. so whats ur suggestion
that it should be lowest and unique which others wont
know about
I would be happy to get all all the forum users to
kindly guess each lowest and Unique Value range from 0
to 1000 and with the utmost 2 decimal digits only. SO
every one would have an idea. PLease throw all the
ideas
thanks for your lowest and unique answer please

It depends on how many people are in your class. If there are about 30 in there, I'd go for something around 0.06.
Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

Many people would think "go for something a little higher to avoid all the people who will choose lower numbers" which means many people will AVOID the lower numbers.
But other people won't think at all and just choose 0.00 or 0.01
I will go for 0.03
(Of course this won't work here because we can all see each others numbers)

Any one who see the page and expert in math please write the least and unique numbers from 0 to 1000..i wil have lots of gratitude for u....i want to have as much as numbers please

This is gambling anyway.
If 0 is allowed, I would choose it.
I give you two reasons for that. Some would avoid the number (they may consider it trivial) and others (very many) wouldn't imagine that 0 is in the range of numbers between 0 and 1000.

can you put something like 0.02* 10 ^-55. that would be very small.

Can you have more than 2 digits after decimal point?
Because 10^-55 has 55 disgits after decimal point.

i see your point but it could work.

HI mathsmypassion,
Your comments and response is very active and very unique, i like it, i would be happy to correspond with u, i fell u are expert in mathmatics. i M very poor in math so may have to get some help from u in this section of selecting unique and least number.
Your question says can we have more than 2 digits? No. Only 2 digit is allowed....So whats ur idea on it?
thanks

Hi rickzeen,
As I said before there is no right or wrong answer. There are in total 100 001 numbers to choose from between 0.00 and 1000.00 (same number as between 0 and 100001 if multiply all our numbers by 100). If I can be of any help for you , let me know.
Sorry for being so late with my reply.
