simplifying fractions and improper fractions

if you have       3/2w-(-4/5)+5/2w         how do u simplify this  trying to help out my nephew and i dont want to give him th wrong answer thanks   ( thats 3 over 2 next to a w )   and (5 over 2 next to a w also)

So just to make sure, I'm thinking the expression you need to simplify looks like this:

If that's the case, then you can group the two terms with a w together, and also cancel the two minuses in the other term. That gives:


And if you wanted, you could then make that

thanks thats what i got but i made the two fractions mixed fractions  then to decimals then got the answer thanks for your help  i understand it now
