Math/Arithmetic reasoning

Hey,
I'm studying to pass my test;however, arithmetic reasoning is one of my many, not so good at
math problems. Can Any one simplify Arithmetic ? ...so even I can understand
it would really be a blessing.

Re: Math/Arithmetic reasoning

I'll make up
a problem
that I have
not solved and
do not know
the answer to.

A girl runs around
the edge of her
playground at
recess.  When she
gets done, then
she walks around
trying to find
someone to do
something with
that isn't playing
anything right now.
If everyone is
playing something,
then she runs
around the
playground another
time.  Each time
she runs around
the playground
her times are
different.  The first
time around the
playground takes
her 3:05 minutes
and seconds.  The
second time takes
her 2:59 minutes
and seconds and
the third time takes
her 3:06 and the
4th time around
the playground takes
her 3:25 minutes.
Her time varies
because of her pace.
When she walks
around looking for
someone to do
something with, she
spends 4:31 minutes
and seconds doing
this if she finds
no one.  When she
finds someone to
play with or talk to,
it is usually at 2:22
minutes:seconds after
she finished her last
run.  When she finds
someone do have
fun with, she stays
with them till the
bell rings.  The recess
is 30:00 minutes
long, and she has
never run around
the playground
more than four times
because after the
4th time running,
she will actually
join into a large
group game at the
last minute like
kickball, and she
joins the team that
is losing to try to
help them catch
up.  What is longest
amount of time she
can play kickball if
it takes 26 seconds
to join after the
4th run around of
the playground?
There are 3 lengths
of times she could
spend with 1 other
persons on the days
she meets them.
What are these 3
lengths of time?
