Binomial Question

Find the expansions of the following in ascending powers of x as far as the term containing x to power 3:

(1+2x)

how to solve it?(please notice the line used above represent the line of a fraction)

... im really confused as to what you are trying to convey there.

use LaTeX -> encase the code in 'math' tags : [ math] ... [/math] (without space in first tag)

\frac{...}{...} for a fraction : example


^{...} for exponential : example

you can click on the LaTeX for the code i used to generate it.
