25% of $25000.00 is what?
How do I set this problem up?

Re: Help with finding the percentage

Or, if i were you, I would just divide 25000 by 4,which is a whole lot easier, since

25% = 1/4

And more easy shortcuts would be:

1%   = 1/100
2%   = 1/50
5%   = 1/20
10% = 1/10
20% = 1/5
50% = 1/2

I just hope you could use these for future references...

Re: Help with finding the percentage

The way I was taught:

Later on, you will realize that "of" (as in 25% OF 25000) implies multiplication.   And 25% = .25, so:

.25 * 25000 = 6250
