Re: marked price

180 rufiyah spent.
200 rufiyah spent if not on sale.
How get?
Saved 20 rupiah over 10 soaps, or 2 rupees on each soap.
2 x 10 = 20
10% was saved, so 1/10 = 10% = 0.1 = 0.10 = 0.100 = 0.1000.
HighPrice x  9 ÷ 10 = LowPrice
HighPrice x 9 ÷ 10 x 10 = LowPrice x 10
HighPrice x 9 ............. = LowPrice x 10
HighPrice x 9 ÷ 9..........= LowPrice x 10 ÷ 9
HighPrice ...................= LowPrice x 10 ÷ 9
Am I making any sense to you??

200 x 9 = 1800, that's eighteen hundred, also said one thousand eight hundred.
Now 1800 ÷ 10 is 180.

But the trick is to know that 1 ÷ 10% = 10
That's really how I did it.
Learn about reciprocals.  Reee Sip Proa KooLZ, not KoooooLZ, KoolZ, like bulls or pulls.

The reciprocal of 2 is 1 ÷ 2 or a half.

The reciprocal of 3 is 1 ÷ 3 or a third.

The reciprocal of 1÷3 is 3

The reciprocal of 1÷2 is 2
