LaTeX “text” are formatted as GIF images. The baseline of the text in the GIF image is not level with the baseline of the typed text in the message area – instead, the baseline of the typed text is level with the base of the GIF image as a whole. Let’s leave it to MathsIsFun to figure out a way of aligning the baselines of the two sets of text.

And it gets more complicated - the gif sits in a form so you can click on it to open a new page with the latex code in it. How do I align a form with text?
