its just a very long winded example of using long multiplication.
do each digit of second number times the first number pushing up a digit each time, then add together, for example:
' 32
x24
-----
128
640
----
768
The Beginning Of All Things To End.
The End Of All Things To Come.

like 4*32 = 128 which i wrote down right to left,
but then for the next digit for 2*32, i put a 0 after it so that 2*32 = 64, but i write 640 with an extra 0 at the end, and then if there was a third digit for the multiplication, the next line would have two 0's after it. so for example:
'' 132
x478
------
' 1056 -> 8*132 = 1056
' 9240 -> 7*132 = 924
52800 -> 4*132 = 528

I will work out the whole thing soon for you, but here is the answer in case you need it.

(You can add a zero at the end of this answer so there are 16 numbers after the dot, but I forgot to since I used a C-language-calculator.)
All these numbers are the same:
1.5
1.50
1.500
1.5000
It doesn't matter if you add zeros at the end because it is after the decimal.
But if they contain error amounts of uncertainty, then maybe more zeros means it is of higher quality, but still it is the same number.

The * just means "times", its to avoid confusion with x.

Click on the picture to see the multiplication I did by hand.
Notice there are 16 numbers on the right side of the decimal dot.
Why 16? 8 + 8 from the right side of the starting numbers.
I lined everything up vertically, so you can see how the colors
of your 2nd number go down to the answer parts of the same color.
