Line problem

If anyone could explain how the following is done, it would be greatly appreciated!

Use the lines through the point (1,1) to describe all the points on the circle x^2 + y^2 = 2, whose coordinates are rational numbers.

Re: Line problem

As far as I know, the only points that fit that description are:
(1,1); (1,-1); (-1,1); (-1,-1).

I think the question now wants lines that go through (1,1) and each of those other points.
The lines x=1, y=1 and y=x would do that.

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.
