I started a post called "rumors". THe next day when I went back to look at the replies MathIsFun had snipped my post. What does it mean when they snip your post?

"You don't have to like me but you do need to respect me''

Re: Snipping

When Rod (MathIsFun) edits your post with a simple thing that says [SNIP] it means that he's taken administrative action against the thread itself for some reason or another, which he'd most likely post in the thread itself.

His edits normally leave it saying Edited by MathisFun(Whenever).

Boy let me tell you what:
I bet you didn't know it, but I'm a fiddle player too.
And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you.

Re: Snipping

This was the thread:

MathsIsFun “snipped” your post because it appeared to have been copied from the website that justlookingforthemoment linked to. He felt that it was possible copyright violation, which is illegal.

If you have the author’s permission to copy the material (or if you are the author), you should state it clearly and let everyone know. Otherwise you should just provide a link to the website and not copy material directly (and illegally). smile
