finding the radius of a cylinder

hello guys nice forum you have here hope you can help me with some what you may find as simple questions

I am not much good when it come to this  type of thing but i need to help my lad with is home work so i thought you guys may be able to help me help my son to understand some maths

the question i want to ask is this

I have a cylinder volume 320 pie cm3  .....  hieght 3.2 cm   

I need to be able to find the radius of the cylinder, any one got ant idea

The volume of a cylinder is given by πr²h, where r is its radius and h is its height.

By substituting the height and volume that you're given, you can say that 320π = 3.2πr².
From there, you just solve to find r.
To do that, you'd get r² on its own and then take the square root of both sides.

Thx for the explanation its very nice of you to reply so quickly

but can you do the actualy sum from start t finish so i can see wot it is i have to do in wot order, so i can understand it better
