How does one solve 3x+5=8 ?!?!?!?!swear

cause 3x1=3+5=8

It's easy

and I'll try to explain my solution

firstly

subtract 5 from each side

3x + 5 - 5 = 8 - 5

3x= 3

then
divide each side by 3

x = 1

finally

it's easy, try to read your text book carefully! you can solve this problems smoothly next time.

3x+5=8
> 3x=8-5=3
> x=3/3
> x=1
